55 years of Kopp: We are celebrating precision, passion and team spirit with a party that brings these values to life. On our company premises, we laughed, remembered, thanked and, above all, celebrated.
What began as a small workshop is now a modern company with strong roots and a clear vision. And that is exactly what was tangible on this day, for our guests, for our team and for everyone who is part of this story.
55 years of Kopp Schleiftechnik in fast motion
What began in 1970 in a workshop with three hand-operated grinding machines is now a modern high-tech company with around 45 employees. Kopp Schleiftechnik has developed steadily over the last 55 years: technologically, spatially and in terms of people.
Whether the first CNC machine, the new building at Raupenstein 21 or the entry of the third generation – each step was a chapter on the way to what Kopp is today: precision, reliability and a deep understanding of quality in grinding technology.
But despite all the progress, one thing has always remained the same: the family spirit. Respectful interaction at eye level, within the team as well as with our customers and partners.
A celebration for customers, partners and the entire Kopp family
An anniversary like this thrives on encounters and there were plenty of them. Around 150 customers and business partners accepted our invitation. Many of them have been with us for years, some even for decades.
In the afternoon, we opened our doors to families and friends of our employees – over 250 adults and 50 children. A sign of how much work and community belong together at Kopp.
The late summer weather, good food and relaxed conversation created an atmosphere that cannot be planned, but is created precisely when people with shared values come together.
Emotional highlights of the day
It was a celebration full of special moments, some of which will certainly be remembered for a long time to come. In their short speech, Fabian and Achim Kopp looked back on the company’s development and gave an outlook for the future.
The tribute to Helmut Kopp was a moving moment. At the age of 86, the company founder personally stood among the guests and received the thanks and recognition he more than deserved. For many, it was a quiet goosebump moment.
Even the youngest guests were catered for. A lovingly organized children’s programme provided fun and variety, while the adults enjoyed good food, music and plenty of conversation. The whole day was characterized by genuine appreciation for our shared past and what lies ahead.

A day like this doesn’t just happen on its own. It lives from the people who shape it, fill it with life and make it something special.
Our greatest thanks go to our team, the heart of the Kopp company. Without their daily commitment, diligence and team spirit, this development would not have been possible.
We would also like to thank our customers and partners. For their trust, loyalty and the many joint projects that go far beyond business. We look forward to continuing our excellent cooperation in the future.
