August 2024

What you can expect during your training

As a precision tool mechanic (m/f/d) in a tool grinding shop, you will produce sharp drills and milling cutters for industrial machines used in the aviation or automotive industries, for example. You will spend a large part of your training in conventional grinding, where you will learn the tool grinding process from scratch before being trained on state-of-the-art CNC grinding centers. You will also get to know the area of order processing in order to understand the complete process sequences of the regrinding service and tool production. Quality made by KOPP – that’s what our tool grinding shop stands for. And this is exactly what you will learn during your training as a precision tool mechanic (m/f/d).

You can expect an exceptional and varied apprenticeship with a salary in line with the Chamber of Crafts’ specifications plus Christmas and vacation bonuses. We will pay for your capital-forming benefits, travel costs to vocational school, accommodation during the vocational school block lessons, work clothing, protective equipment and all teaching materials. After your apprenticeship, you have a very good chance of being taken on and will be part of a great team that is a lot of fun to work with.
